Super Sweet 1966 Mustang GT. This is a REAL GT as can be verified through the VIN number. Gorgeous factory Signal Red exterior with white factory vinyl top. New Red and Parchment Pony Interior with Palomino trim. This car has had a frame up restoration. The paint and body work were professionally done and new bumpers, windshield, interior, carpet, wheels, tires, brakes, mufflers, tailpipes, gas tank, seat belts, master cylinder, etc., etc. The body panels are straight. No wavy looking side panels. The doors, hood and trunk all open and shut like they did from the factory. All the gauges, lights, signal lights, brake lights, wipers, Rally Pak gauges work. Everything on the car works except the original radio that is still in the car. The radio was not hooked up when I bought the car and I think the previous owner had an aftermarket radio in there that he kept. When I was replacing carpet I found speaker wires going to the trunk. I don’t listen to music so I did not hook it back up but the wiring is there. The engine is a 289 V-8 with a big Edelbrock carb that has the electric choke that works. Car starts right up and idles great. The transmission is a three speed manual. Disc brakes up front. I have included a picture of the engine number. (engine numbers 5H28 and C5AE- 6015E) That number comes from behind the starter. I had the starter off when I installed the new clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing and had the flywheel re-finished. The engine is strong. The car shows to be an “A” Code 225 h. but it runs like a K code.
